GES Standard Breaching Frame

Gryphon’s Breaching Entry Frames are specially engineered containers designed to facilitate structure breaching for hostage rescue, counter-terrorism and special forces operations, through a wide range of target materials and structural types.Gryphon Entry Frames may be used against targets such as: cinder block, brick and concrete walls, as well as solid core wood doors, metal clad fire doors and security doors. It produces an entry hole approximately the same dimensions as the frame.

GES Folding Entry Frame

Gryphon’s Patented Folding Entry Frame (Explosive) can utilize the folding pole system designed for this frame or the same prop pole used in the standard entry frame. It has rappel lugs on top and bottom to allow for rappelling or lowering the charge onto the selected target using ropes. It has a sliding locking plate that allows users to lock the frame in the open position, while allowing users to unlock and fold the frame up should it become necessary to remove the frame from the target being breached.

GES Gunport Breaching Frame

This is a PVC plastic explosive entry frame with a 1 inch loading for explosives. It is filled with water or sand for greater tamping effect. The Gunport Frame uses the same prop poles as the standard GBF-1VS frame and the GBF-1VF Folding Frame.

The GP-1VS Gunport Breaching Frame can use the following explosives:

● Sheet Explosive – various widths and thickness, RDX or PETN based
● Linear Shaped Charge – 100 gr./ ft. (20 g/ m) to 2200 gr./ ft. (500 g/ m) copper or lead clad
● Detonating Cord – 50 gr./ ft. to 500 gr./ ft. (10 g/ m to 110 g/ m))
● Extrudable Explosive – RDX based (DEMEX 100) or PETN based (DEXS)

Gryphon Engineering Gun Port frames produce an opening about the size of the frame’s outer dimensions, depending on the target material being penetrated and the explosive load (approximately 16 inches x 16 inches (40 cm x 40 cm).

GES 2 Piece Prop Pole

A two piece telescopic PVC plastic pole used for the correct placement of Gryphon Engineering Breaching Frames. The two piece pole is simply taped at the joint to ensure that the entry frame is held at the correct height for breaching operations. PVC plastic is used for its durability and strength, while minimizing the danger of fragmentation.

GES 4 Piece Folding Pole

The Gryphon Engineering Folding Prop Pole (patent pending) has been purpose designed to allow tactical use of the folding frame. It has been designed to allow for operational deployment right off an operators back. The pole is in three sections, attached by Mil Spec bungee cord that allows operators to quickly deploy the pole system. The folding pole system provides a deployed height a little over five feet for the standard folding pole. Pole systems can be custom manufactured for specific height requirements.

The Gryphon folding poles are joined using Mil Spec bungee cord and special end connectors. The end of the pole that fits into the folding entry frame has a beveled edge to allow for easy insertion of the pole into the folding entry frame.

The folding pole is designed to be carried either attached to the folding frame ready for immediate tactical deployment, or just strapped into the custom carry bag with the folding frame in the standard shipping configuration.

GES Frame Bag

The Folding Entry Frame Bag is designed for use and deployment of the Gryphon Folding Entry Frame (patented) and folding prop pole (sold seperately).

The bag has pockets designed for operators to carry their shocktube initiation sets in the bag. The pockets allow for quick access when it is time to “hook up” the initiation system to the loaded frame charge.

C17 Satchel Demolition Charge Case

The Gryphon patented C17 Satchel Charge Case is an innovative industrial strength nylon case with a heavy duty Delrin zipper that holds 20 lb. of Mil Spec Composition C4 in standard 1.25 lb. blocks. The Gryphon C17 Satchel Charge Case, currently in service with the Canadian Armed Forces, comes complete with a manually inflatable floatation bladder allowing the satchel to be used for underwater demolition tasks.

GE C14 Case, Blasting Cap
(Mini Detonator Container)

Gryphon’s patented miniature detonator container is manufactured in aluminum, with a specialty foam inner core for containing blast and fragmentation. Each container has a compression fitted cap to contain the leg wires of electrical detonators, and to provide ESD protection.

The C14, Case, Blasting Cap is coated with paint that meets the requirements of Mil Spec type paints and/or coatings. This item entered service with the Canadian Military in 2008. The C14 is also used in the C13 Case, Demolition/EOD

Large Blasting Cap Container

A patent pending detonator container manufactured in aluminum, with a specialty foam inner core for containing blast and fragmentation. The container is coated with a flat black, non-reflective paint, and has a mil spec metal foil label on it, with the words “BLASTING CAP, CONTAINER”, the lot number (by date: day/month/year, ie “XX/XX/XX”) and other necessary contract information on it. The Canadian Military have tested and accepted the C15 Blasting Cap Container for in service use as of September 2017. It has been assigned a NATO Stock Number and its Military designation is Holder, Blasting Cap, C15. The product has an optional ballistic nylon pouch. The pouch can have the unit name or departmental crest embroidered on it.

The Gryphon Initiator Bag was purpose designed to assist police bomb technicians in the carriage of a firing system comprised of Shock Tube, detonators and mechanical initiators.
